Pen Computing editor-in-chief Conrad H. Blickenstorfer presents keynote speech on "Past and Future of Pen Technology" at the Taipei International Convention Center in Taiwan, examining the status of the Tablet PC.

November 13, 2001

Bill Gates' keynote at Fall Comdex centers on the upcoming Tablet PC. Gates demonstrates several prototypes. Tablet PC press event follows the keynote.

The July 2001 issue of Pen Computing Magazine contains a detailed description and analysis of Microsoft's Tablet PC project.

Aeon Publishing Group, Inc announced it will launch Tablet PC Magazine to cover the emerging new generation of Tablet PCs and WebPads. Aeon Publishing Group's other titles include Pen Computing Magazine, Digital Camera Magazine, and BBW Magazine.

Pen Computing Magazine has been covering pen technology since its inception in the Fall of 1993. Pen-enabled systems have been called pen computers, pen slates, tablet computers, tablet PCs, PDAs, and more. Pen Computing Magazine has reviewed hundreds of pen systems and their enabling technologies (handwriting recognition, voice recognition, digitizers, touch screens, wireless, etc.).
