Ricoh Digital Camera Division and ActivePhoto have announced that the new Ricoh RDC-i700 digital camera will be able to wirelessly transmit images directly to the ActivePhoto website for image management, viewing, reporting, collaboration, and archiving. [SOURCE: Yahoo ]

Audible and Symbol Technologies have announced a new agreement to co-market each other's technologies. Specifically, Symbol's Pocket PC devices, and Audible's Audible Wireless solutions and AudibleReady PC-based portable digital audio players.

SCM Microsystems has announced a new E-25 smart card reader that can be worn around a person's neck as a badge or attached to a belt. The device offers: secure PIN code entry, LCD screen, RF transmitter, and hookup to desktop systems via USB or serial ports. Croatia's Dalmatinska Bank Zadar is reportedly going to use 100,000 E-25 readers for their Secure Internet Banking program.

Intel's Xircom has announced a new SpringPort Wireless Ethernet module for Handspring Visor devices. The new module supports the IEEE 802.11b standard, and is a Wi-Fi certified product.

Infowave Software is now shipping Infowave Wireless Business Engine v4.0 that supports: Microsoft Exchange 5.5/2000; 2.5G wireless networking protocols (CDPD, GSM, GPRS, TDMA, CDMA, or Mobitex); and SecurID.

AvantGo and MessageMachines have announced a new alliance to bring mobile messaging technology and services to both vertical and horizontal marketplaces. The alliance will also focus on enabling business to create relationships via customized mobile message content with their customers and suppliers using each other's integrated technologies.
