Handspring has announced a new partnership with eLance to build an online marketplace that will enable Handspring developers, partners, and service providers to do online business with each other. The site can be accessed via either URL: www.handspring.com/developers or www.elance.com/handspring.

mBrain Software has announced a new "Get PDF Content On Your Handheld Campaign" to promote their EPOC OS based PDF reader called "Pdf."

Online storage and file management services company SwapDrive has announced wireless access capabilities (view, manage, & share) to users of Palm VIIx handhelds. The next phase will include the ability to upload, download, fax, and email via SwapDrive. Pricing for SwapDrive services start at US$50 a month (more than just handheld access).

UNOVA's Intermec via their recent "2001 Americas Sales and Partner Conference" held in Dallas, Texas has announced plans to integrate wireless connectivity capabilities into their next-generation handheld devices.

DeLorme has created a new "DeLorme Network (DNET) Program" that links all their resellers, service providers, OEMs, and integrators into a streamlined process to enable better sales and support capabilities to those selling DeLorme's XMap series of GIS software products. This product line can be used by mobile users in vertical and horizontal marketplaces throughout North America.

Mobile Automation has released "Mobile Automation 2000" -- an updated version of their handheld management, system administration and remote control architecture product that includes support for Palm VII wireless devices (also supports Windows 95/98/NT/2000/CE). Part of this architecture includes the use of "LiveSupport" using AT&T Lab's VNC technology.
