Symbian and RealNetworks have formed a new alliance to enable mobile media experiences for next generation mobile handsets.

Internet Week is reporting that Palm, Inc has posted better quarterly financial information than Wall Street experts had predicted.

Symbol Technologies has recently announced: #1.) The PPT 2800 Microsoft Pocket PC savvy bar-code scanning handheld; #2.) A new curb-side check-in solution for Starwood hotels; #3.) Two other vertical market scanners -- the Cobra LS 1900 & MicroKiosk MK 1000; and #4.) The PDT 8100 Microsoft Pocket PC wireless network handheld.

Electrofuel has announced a new "Lithium Ion SuperPolymer" rechargeable battery for laptops called the PowerPad 120 that offers between 8-12 hours of additional runtime.

Socket Communications recently demonstrated their new Socket Bluetooth card in a Pocket PC device printing wirelessly to the new Bluetooth-savvy HP Deskjet 995c inkjet printer. There was also a demo of a TCP/IP wireless LAN connection via the AXIS 9010 Access Point.

Pumatech has announced: #1.) Browse-it v3.0 software [web browser for Palm OS]; #2.) Enterprise Intellisync [corporate focused data synchronization]; and #3.) Mind-it v5.1 software [WAP-savvy real-time notification technology].
