GoAmerica has announced plans to offer a wide range of mission critical business information services via Oracle's new Wireless Partner Initiatives.

3Com has announced a new Internet appliance called "Audrey" (US$500) that is geared to work in "unfriendly" computing environments such as the kitchen or family room. The device has both a touch screen and keyboard interface; VGA flat panel display; Ethernet port; extremely simplified user interface; and stylish multi-color design. Analysts have pointed out the following limitations: no support for AOL; limited email file sizes; and no Java code execution.

RIM has announced a new RIM 857 wireless handheld that has been approved by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for Motient's wireless network. RIM also announced that over the next 8 months they will supply Motient with 25,000 RIM 857 devices and 25,000 RIM 850 devices to resell to both businesses and consumers.

Infowave Software has announced that Canada's Rogers AT&T Wireless is planning to begin to resell Infowave's enterprise solutions to their corporate clients.
