Oracle has announced that Spring PCS will be using Oracle's iAS Wireless technology for future business-to-business (B2B) wireless application services.

InnoGear has announced that they are now shipping their MiniJam MP3 Springboard player for Handspring Visor devices. The device offers 32MBs (US$199) or 64MBs (US$259) of storage that can also be used by Palm OS for application or data storage.

S3 subsidiaries have announced: #1.) A new Internet mobile appliance from frontpath called "ProGear" (US$1500, beta units ship in Q4'00, quantity shipments Q1'01) that is geared for vertical market solutions; and #2.) Diamond Mako is a new EPOC OS handheld that features a keyboard and clamshell design. It is essentially a rebranded Psion Revo Plus in gray instead of Psion's deep plum.

Bachmann Software & Services has announced PrintBoy 2.0 (US$15) for Palm OS that enables printing of almost any type of information stored within 3rd party and/or built-in applications using IrDA connectivity.

Padcom has announced that the California Highway Patrol has chosen Padcom's TotalRoam multi-network capable mobile data platform to facilitate future mobile data connectivity requirements. Currently 500 units have been delivered with a total 2500 units expected during the next three years.

Insignia Solutions reports that their Jeode accelerated Java Virtual Machine (JVM) for National Semiconductor's Geode processor is being used in the new eMachines MSN Companion.
