Compaq and Infowave have announced a new joint wireless initiative to co-market an integrated solution using each other's respective technologies -- Compaq's iPAQ wireless-enabled handheld devices and Infowave's Wireless Business Engine solutions.

Centura Software has announced that their new Mobile Sales Force Automation (SFA) Solution that runs on Centura's eSNAPP v2.0 platform works with Palm Vx handhelds and Minstrel Modems to provide wireless remote access to corporate backend databases.

Transplant Computing offers the Nextcell PocketSpider to customers via their online store (a CDPD modem built in a CompactFlash card). They also offer handheld solutions from: TRGpro, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, and Casio.

Bachmann Software & Services has announced plans to integrate Bluetooth wireless printing capabilities into their PrintBoy software for Palm OS devices.

Dragon Systems offers a portable digital recorder with voice recognition software called the "Dragon Naturally Mobile Recorder" (US$299). The package can sync data to a PC via serial connection or via memory flash cards.

BrainDock.com and TomTom have announced plans to join forces to bring "London City Guide" information directly to handheld devices in the London area using Wireless Access Protocols (WAP).

SanDisk (digital media storage company) has announced plans to make a strategic US$7.2 million investment in Divio a digital video imaging and compression solutions company.
