iambic Software has announced iambic Reader (Windows beta, US$20) that allows for Microsoft Word, text files, and Internet/Intranet webpages to be converted into a handheld format and automatically synchronized with Palm OS handheld devices.

Insignia Solutions, which has their Jeode Java Virtual Machine (JVM) acceleration software being used in Compaq's new iPAQ Home Internet Appliance and Echelon's i.LON Internet Server, has announced a new partnership with Accelerated Technology International (ATI) to bring Insignia Solutions' customers access to ATI's Nucleus real-time operating system technology.

Karrier Communications (who publishes IntelliGolf for Handhelds) has announced a new advanced stopwatch software called "IntelliTimer v1.0" for Palm OS. This package is ideal for timing "swim meets, car racing, track and field events, sailing, downhill skiing, horse racing, science projects, etc."

Hummingbird (an enterprise software solutions provider) has created an option within their BI/Suite query and reporting system to export to native Cutting Edge Software's Quicksheet v5.0 for Palm OS format. This capability makes it possible for Quicksheet attachments to automatically emailed using Hummingbird's BI/Broker scheduler application.

2Roam (a wireless Internet platform service provider) has announced a new partnership with Akamai Technologies to be a "preferred wireless technology partner" as part of the "I.AM.AKAMAI customer service portal" program.

Aportis Technologies and Coola have announced a new joint partnership to bring Web content delivery to wireless devices (smartphones, handhelds, etc. ...).
