Palm has announced Palm HotSync Server for Windows NT (based on Aether Software's ScoutWare technology) that has been designed to support large-scale deployment configuration and data update of Palm OS devices. Other features: centralized data backup, application deployment, and usage tracking. Pricing starts at US$2,400 for five users. There is also an option ($330 for five users) to integrate the Hot Sync Server with a conduit to native Microsoft Exchange email and calendaring.

4thpass has announced "KBrowser"--a Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) compliant microbrowser--for Palm VII users. 4thpass also has a scalable server-side transcoding system called "Transcoder" that supports Windows, Unix, and Linux server platforms.
