Vindigo and inshop.com have announced a new partnership to bring inshop's comprehensive store listings for local specialty stores, upscale designer boutiques, and department stores to Vindigo's free mobile service for Palm OS devices. In June, users can gain access to New York City listings (future cities will include Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, and Washington DC).

PDA Verticals Network which includes sites like PDAMD.com, PDAJD.com, PDAFN.com, and PDARE.com has announced a new "spread the word" campaign called "Get a Palm V for Twenty-Five Giveaway."

Rick Johnson at PointMan notes that Samsung is working on a Linux PDA called "YOPY" that uses an ARM processor.

Lucent's OriNOCO wireless LAN networking technology has been awarded "Best Wireless LAN Solution of 2000" at the recently held Las Vegas' Networld + InterOP show.

BSQUARE and Mitsubishi Electric Corporation have announced a new multi-year contract in which BSQUARE will develop Microsoft's Windows CE operating system support for Mitsubishi's microprocessor called the "M32R/CE" that will be used for a "Home Network system," and in a car navigation system called "Car-Infotainment Device."

Xybernaut and Texas Instruments have entered into a new agreement to develop and market solutions that utilize TI DSPs (TMS320C5000) for Xybernaut's mobile computing products. These chips will enable Xybernaut to offer new functionality like: Bluetooth, integrated GPS, Voice over IP (VoIP), and FireWire (IEEE-1394).
