BSQUARE has announced plans to license Citrix System's Independent Computing Architecture (ICA) to provide tools to help developers build Windows-based Terminal clients.
Cutting Edge Software has announced "Quicksheet v5.0 Commercial Solutions Pack (US$5000) -- a new service that includes: 100 Palm OS device licenses; two days of consulting; sample code; free upgrades for life; and enterprise data acquisition (via Symbol SPT 1500/1700), analysis, and display capabilities."
Eastman Kodak Company is reporting that their PalmPix camera (US$179) is now shipping to retail stores worldwide and that it will be available shortly online at Shop@Kodak. PalmPix is compatible with Palm III, IIIe, IIIx and IIIc, IBM Workpad, Palm VII platform, and TRGpro. It is also compatible with Palm V/Vx models with a required Dock V adapter (sold separately). PalmPix desktop software only supports: Windows 95/98/NT.
SanDisk has announced plans to supply flash memory chipsets to Germany's JUMPtec Industrielle Computertechnik for use in "POS (point of sale) terminals, banking (ATM) terminals, medical monitors, telecom devices and other products."
The PMN News Service is reporting that Halifax's Intelligent Finance division will be distributing 150,000 WAP savvy mobile telephones to their customers so that they can better manage their financial affairs. They also have coverage of the new joint venture between Reuters and Aether called "Sila Communications."
