The Stanford PalmPilot User Group (SPUG) meets at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at Printer's Inc. Bookstore Cafe, 310 California Ave, Palo Alto, California. Their next meeting will be on 02May00, and will feature a demo of the Rand McNally GPS Receiver for the Palm III.

Contact Network offers an online address book that can currently synchronize with Microsoft Outlook on a Windows based personal computer. In the future, expect connectivity with Symantec's Act and Palm Desktop.

Hewlett-Packard (HP) has announced new software for their HP Jornada 540 Pocket PC that enables communication with HP's JetSend devices via standard IrDA links. The software will also work with all Windows CE v2.0 (and higher) devices, and will be distributed free online until 17Jul00 (when the price will go to US$20).

MSN Mobile 2.0 has been released, which allows users to access "Hotmail e-mail, Yellow Pages, news, financial, weather, entertainment, and sports information" from cellular phones and PDAs. In the future, expect more "Mobile Web" capabilities.

Ericsson and Nokia have both had excellent financial quarters for calendar Q1'2000, and both are reporting significant revenue growth expectations for the rest of 2000. [SOURCE: PMN News Service]

Globalware Computing is now shipping v2.6 of PylonPro -- a tool that links Palm OS devices to Lotus Notes/Domino services. This new version supports better "handling of meetings and recurring appointments."
