InFocus and Proxima have announced their intention to merge to become "the world's leading name in multimedia projection products and services." The new company will operate under the name InFocus with Proxima shareholders becoming approximately 38% owners in the combined InFocus organization.

SOFTAVA has an alternative touch-screen keyboard solution for Palm OS devices called "Silkyboard".

Comarco Wireless Technologies has announced a ChargeSource compatible SmartTip for Palm V/Vx series devices. ChargeSource is a single power system that uses individual device specific SmartTips to power a host of devices from one ChargeSource.

The new power color display lamps found in Palm's Palm IIIc device are reportedly from the Microsemi's Linfinity Microelectronics unit.

Intermec has announced that their Enterprise Wireless LAN systems will support the new IEEE 802.11 Working Group's IEEE 802.11b High Rate (11-Mbps) channel specification.

ARM and Japan's Asahi Chemical Industry Company have announced plans to collaborate on implementing Asahi's voice recognition technology (VORERO) for operation with ARM Powered processors (ARM7TDMI) for use in future "automotive applications."
