The Stanford PalmPilot User Group meets at 7 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month -- the next meeting will be on 01Feb00. According to various online sources, one of the items missing from the recent Transmeta news was the status of "Mobile Linux" that is going to be the core operating system used by S3 and Creative Labs' future "Web pad" devices.

SanDisk has announced a two-for-one stock split and released details on their Q4'99 fiscal quarter (record revenue, increased sales, and net income was also significantly higher than 1998).

GPS NEWS -- #1.) Qualcomm has announced plans to purchase SnapTrack; and #2.) NovAtel has announced a new "revolutionary" GPS family of antenna products called "GPS 600 Series"
