Transmeta has finally announced what they have been secretly working on for four plus years -- smart low-power processors they call "Crusoe" that include revolutionary mobile software that is ideal for wireless Internet devices. The chips will be built initially by IBM under contract, and they will be able to run popular OSes like Windows and Linux.

ZiLOG's Advanced Human Interface or AHI Navigator (home entertainment control device) will utilize Synaptics' TouchPad technology as the input device in AHI Navigator, and smARTwriter handwriting recognition software from Advanced Recognition Technologies (ART).

Applied Biometrics Products has announced plans to offer a Palm OS based fingerprint identification system called "Kryptic Pilot."

Research In Motion (RIM) has announced: #1.) A new alliance with Nortel Networks to develop future wireless Internet technology; and #2.) A deal with Intel to deploy them with 2000 BlackBerry Handhelds for wireless email capabilities to a wide-range of mobile Intel employees throughout North America.

Ilium Software has announced the release of eWallet 2.0 for Windows CE and desktop Windows 95/98/NT/2000.

Online mobile device marketplace "GoPDA.com" has announced that they have changed their name to "Handango".
