Palm Computing has been reportedly demonstrating Bluetooth wireless communications between desktop PCs and Palm OS devices at Germany's CeBIT 2000 trade show. Palm has also announced plans to offer Bluetooth savvy devices in their product line by the second half of the year 2000.

Oracle has announced plans for a new free wireless Internet portal that will provide the 'mobile warrior' with much needed information to their mobile phone or wireless handheld device. [SOURCE: PC Week]

Cutting Edge Software has completed a Japanese localized version of Quicksheet for Palm OS devices (US$50; spreadsheet application), and signed up Japanese retailer - Vis-ˆ-vis - as distributor and marketer of Quicksheet in Japan.

Symbian has announced a new all-in-one integrated hardware/software reference platform for doing wireless "email, Web browsing, and telephony" called "Quartz" that will be used in a host of mobile devices (phones, organizers, and handhelds) being built by Ericsson, Psion, and Motorola. TealPoint Software has announced that TealPaint 4 (US$18) has been released with color support for new Palm IIIc devices. New features (also available for monochrome users) include: new shape drawing tools, image templates, and printing support.

Puma Technology has announced that their Board of Directors have approved a two-for-one split of their common stock that will take effect at close of business on 08Mar00.
