Microsoft is expected to release their next-generation Palm-size PC operating system being marketed under the handle "PocketPC" in April 2000. Windows CE needed a make-over in many people's opinion, and a make-over -- especially on the user interface front -- is what consumers will get with PocketPC according to industry analysts.

Borders Online has announced plans to team with Peanutpress.com to offer Palm OS and Windows CE device owners access to online ebook titles. It should be noted that netLibrary recently acquired Peanutpress.com.

ClubPhoto has announced Album To Go v1.5 for the new color savvy Palm IIIc that will enable "color" access to photographs on Palm IIIc devices. It supports "gray-scale" pictures on all other Palm OS based devices.

Go32.com has announced that they are partnering with Tucows to offer Symbian EPOC software (freeware & shareware) via a dynamic e-commerce portal.

PalmServer has announced that they are distributing new Palm OS digital content in both iSolo and standard Doc formats.

SanDisk has announced that Hama PVAC Ltd. (based in Basingstoke, Hampshire) will be a distributor of SanDisk flash data storage products for both consumer and business retail channels in the United Kingdom.
