Scenix has announced that the Sennheiser's Digital 1000 Series Wireless Microphone System uses Scenix's latest "SX Series controller chip" to "encode, serialize ,and de-serialize voice signals in real-time." Scenix also offers embedded Java virtual machine solutions.

Hewlett-Packard (HP) is reporting that CMP Media's United Kingdom based testing laboratory called NSTL has recently completed a testing of Handheld PC devices running Windows CE, and has found the "best" one to be the HP Jornada 680.

NEC Computers and Biztro have announced a new joint agreement to build "small business" solutions to improve back-end office productivity in linking mobile devices (laptops and handhelds) to centralized networks and servers.

There is now a "dedicated" fitness handheld device that can be used to track performance and other data related to working-out called the Vivonic Fitness Planner.

BusinessWire is reporting that Japanese consumers appear to be "shunning" traditional personal computer type devices for Internet access, and are actively looking for Internet access via wireless mobile handheld devices.
