DataViz has announced the release of Documents To Go v2.003 (US$40) that comes with a new add-on called Attachments To Go (seamlessly integrated into the built-in Palm OS email package). Other new features include: document beaming, and rich text viewing. Desktop files supported by Documents To Go includes: Microsoft Word & Excel, Lotus Word Pro, Lotus 1-2-3, Corel WordPerfect, and Quattro Pro files. Current users can upgrade free of charge.

Harvard Business School Club of New York (HBSC/NY) has announced that Puma Technology has been named entrepreneur of the year for their "outstanding entrepreneurial achievement" in producing handheld products like: Intellisync and Satellite Forms.

Llamagraphics has announced that they are giving prior Life Balance Newton customers a 50% discount on purchasing a current Palm OS version of Life Balance. A 30-day trail demo version is available for download evaluation.

ThinAirApps and K2 Design have announced a new joint developer and marketing partnership to leverage each other's core wireless handheld technologies to build future integrated wireless applications for business-to-business and business-to-consumer clients.

The Open Hardware Palmtop Computing Association (OHPA) based in Japan is reportedly working towards keeping the Hewlett-Packard (HP) LX handheld platform alive. They are working on a future device specification design document and are looking for manufacturers. [SOURCE: Mobile Computing]

Knight Ridder/Tribune is reporting a new market survey by NPD Group that examines sales of personal organizers during the first three quarters of 1999. Total volume was US$40 million, and the market leaders by percentage are: 38% Royal Business, 37% Sharp, 16% Franklin, 8% Casio, and 1% Others.
