Palm has reported record revenue of US$522.2 million in their second quarter of fiscal 2001 that ended December 1, 2000 -- up 102% from the US$258.6 million generated in the second quarter of fiscal 2000.

Xircom has confirmed online news stories that have been reporting problems with PC Card synchronization problems using pre-released versions of Xircom's new REX 6000 devices that is going to push back official launch until sometime in Q1'2001.

IDEO has announced a new Palm OS based application called "eyecontact" that links digital images to address book contacts from IDEO's eyemodule digital camera module for Handspring Visor users.

Enfour Media Laboratory has announced a new Japanese TrueType "Keitai Font" for NTT DoCoMo's new i-mode services. The font supports both Windows and Mac OS systems, will cost US$99 for developers, and should be shipping Jan 2001.

Qvadis Corporation -- the developer of the Palm OS document reader called "Qvadis Express Reader" -- has announced plans to purchase the Palm e-text portal "Editio Online Publishing".

Mobile Lifestreams has published their "2001 analysts predictions" via this new site: www.mobileYearly.com. Some things to look out for: Nokia's new consumer strategy, smart messaging, and mobile protocols (GPRS, 3G, WAP).
