JungleSoft has announced a new "mapping" portal for Palm OS users is being developed in conjunction with Geographic Data Technology (GDT)

Infowave Software has announced the release of "Wireless Business Engine" that enables wireless access via CDMA and GSM networks to WAP enabled devices to/from enterprise resources like Microsoft Exchange servers. Pricing for these capabilities are now based on per seat pricing starting in the US$60 range and going up to US$350 depending on service options.

SourceGear has released version 0.3.0 of their Open Source software toolkit for creating WAP savvy community portals called "lloop". The package also supports Palm OS wireless PDQ formats, and integrates with backend Apache webservers using databases like: PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Interbase.

Zimba -- Mobile Application Service Provider (MASP) -- a will reportedly announced on Tuesday (29Aug00) a new suite of tools geared for mobile wireless users that will use voice recognition technology.
