Symbian has announced that US$17 billion manufacturer and distributor of technology products -- Sanyo Electronics -- has agreed to develop future EPOC OS based mobile phones.

Compaq's new Home Internet Appliance is using Insignia's Jeode platform that includes an Embedded Java Virtual Machine that enables the device to load and run Java applets & applications. Jeode is available for Windows CE platforms.
