Agenda announced their new Linux-based handheld PDA yesterday at Linux World in San Jose. Starting at US$149, the four ounce pocket-sized PC is said to have the power, speed, and storage resources to run most current desktop applications, as well as the basic PIM applications that it comes with. Accessories include a keyboard, modem, cases, and styli. Dubbed the Agenda VR3, the unit will be available in October. -sab

Ericsson's new R380 smartphone (US$1000) is based on the EPOC OS and offers touch screen access, handwriting recognition software, and tri-band GSM connectivity in a 5.6-ounce standard mobile phone form-factor.

PLUS has a new 2.9-pound projector called the "PLUS U3-1080" (US$7000) that supports native XGA resolutions, 800 ANSI lumens, and 10X zoom in a 7x9-inch form-factor.

There is a new Palm OS dedicated site called Pocketfactory.

Ectaco is now offering online dictionary translation capabilities that are free of charge. Ectaco still provides electronic dictionaries for Palm OS, Windows CE, and Windows 95/98/2000/NT.

Palm not only recently announced the Palm m100 and the Palm VIIx but also two limited edition Palm Vx's -- one in millennium blue finish and the other in champagne color finish. The devices will only be available via Palm's online store for US$399.

Energizer e2 Titanium Technology batteries are designed (offered in AAA, AA, C, D, or 9V sizes) for use with handhelds, digital cameras, portable music devices, electronic games, and video cameras.
