The Mobile Wireless Internet Forum is working on creating a draft list of requirements for a future global IP-based wireless communications network.

Broadbeam has announced five new component wireless hosting services (Develop, Pilot, Deploy Gateway Customers, Deploy Applications, and Deploy Subscribers) for their "SystemsGO! solutions" that should make deployment of third-party wireless offerings faster and easier for application operators and service providers.

Skyscape's IDBook 2000 is a comprehensive reference resource that contains details on: "Infectious Diseases, Diagnostic Procedures, Organisms and Anti-Microbial Drugs."

Socket Communications has announced wireless connectivity kits called "Digital Phone Cards" that support Pocket PC handhelds, PC laptops, and Apple PowerBooks for Motorola CDMA phones like the StarTAC, Timeport, Talkabout, and V. Series devices.

In the near future Symbian EPOC devices are going to get anti-virus software from F-Secure that will examine email attachments for: binary viruses, script language viruses, trojan horses, and/or e-mail bombs.

TechRepublic (subscription required) has posted a review of "Documents to Go for Palm OS" that enables access to Word and Excel documents on your Palm OS handheld.
