Sony Online Entertainment and AvantGo have announced JEOPARDY! 2001 Online as the "first free interactive game" to be delivered via the Internet to users of Palm OS and Windows CE handheld devices.

Aqcess Technologies has announced a new "Personal Computing Tablet" called the "Qbe" (pronounced 'cube') that utilizes TouchPen technology to offer handwriting and speech recognition. The unit weighs 4 pounds; comes in a 14x10x1.5-inch form factor; offers 13.3-inch active matrix color display (1024 x 768); and is powered by a 266-MHz Pentium III.

Audible has made two rather significant announcements recently: #1.) Motorola demoed Audible technology integrated into Motorola's new i1000plus integrated digital handset at the recently held Personal Communications Showcase 1999; and #2.) Hewlett-Packard has announced that they will bundling special offers and software for Audible media with their recently announced HP Jornada 430se Palm-size PC.

Puma Technology has announced plans to donate over 100 copies of their Satellite Forms software to the Center For Innovative Learning Technologies (CILT) Handheld Design Awards for Education contest.

Riverbed Technologies and Extensity have announced a new four-year agreement that will further streamline the office procedures of Extensity mobile users using Riverbed's latest ScoutWare mobile enterprise connectivity software to be integrated into the Extensity e-Business Application Suite.
