Samsung & Sprint PCS' SCH-3500 -- a dual-band CDMA PCS/Analog phone; #3.) QUALCOMM's Palm OS & CDMA savvy pdQ smartphone is shipping in Israel; #4.) Ericsson has a new "pocket-sized" MC 218 Mobile Companion (voice/data savvy); #5.) NeoPoint & AirTouch Cellular's dual-mode NeoPoint 1600 smartphone; #6.) Word on the street is that MCI WorldCom and Sprint are in the process of discussing a merger; and #7.) Roseville Communications Company has announced -- "RCS Wireless" -- a wireless data service in the communities of Roseville, Citrus Heights, Granite Bay, Rocklin, Folsom and Orangevale (Northern California).

PalmMate has released "HandScape" for Palm OS via PalmCentral.

MedBookStore's (an Online Medical Store) is offering ePhysician 1.0 for mobile handheld devices that enables Journal tracking software and instrument references.

Phatware has released "HPC NetProfile" v1.3 (US$15) -- "a Windows CE 2.0 utility program that allows you to create multiple TCP/IP network profiles for each installed network adapter." New features include: support for the SH-4 CPU; import/export of network profiles to/from a file; and user-interface enhancements. RPA Wireless has announced the new release of their Wireless Gateway Service v4.0 that gives companies one gateway to utilize multiple networks for two-way, time-critical wireless communications.
