PageMart Wireless has announced plans to change their corporate name on 01Dec99 to "WebLink Wireless."
PC World is reporting that Compaq has a new wireless LAN offering -- called "WL Series" -- expected to ship in Dec99 that supports up to 11-Mbps transmissions up to 300 feet. A wireless LAN card will reportedly cost US$199, and the network access points will be offered for US$999. [SOURCE: Edupage]
