Palm Computing has announced that Sun Microsystems has announced new "Sun.Com Consulting" services for integration of Palm OS devices into enterprise environments; and that Motorola's Metrowerks has announced a new release of Codewarrior for the Palm Computing platform, Release 6 (with support for Palm VII, Japanese language support, US$369).

The London Daily Mail is reporting that United Kingdom's ARM has announced that they sold 33 million microprocessors to a host of companies -- mainly Psion -- in their third fiscal quarter starting in July 1999 ending in September 1999 with a 77% growth in pre-tax profit.

WeSync has announced plans to offer wireless Internet based handheld synchronization services for Palm OS devices.

Seiko Instruments' Educational Products Division has announced a new "electronic tutor" called "The Word Power English Vocabulary Builder (US$129)" that offers over 100,000 structured exercises for levels from 4th grade through college; and four learning modes: synonyms, associations, SAT, & TOEFL.

Oracle has reportedly chosen QUALCOMM's pdQ smartphone as one of the key platforms for "client demoing" of their new "Customer Relationship Management mobile sales and service applications."

AvantGo and OpenSky have announced plans to work together to "manage mobile information" for "next-generation wireless communications services." And in related news, OpenSky has announced that they will be using: #1.) Riverbed Technologies' ScoutIT for their mobile device management software; and #2.) JP Systems's "web-to-wireless portal data technology" .
