Business Wire via Yahoo is reporting that 3Com has sold their Salt Lake City, Utah manufacturing operations to Manufacturers' Services. This facility includes manufacturing operations and staff that build Palm OS handheld devices, and other 3Com mobile connectivity products.

New World Technologies has announced the availability of a new version of Palmtop Software's Portfolio Manager for EPOC based devices.

Compaq and Proxim have announced a "ground-breaking alliance to deliver wireless home networking products to consumers based on the HomeRF Working Group's industry standard protocol for untethered Internet access and networking of devices."

VoiceMan5 is a "Voice Notes manager" for Psion's Series 5/5mx devices, and it has been written by a group of European programmers called "FreEPOC".

Shane Hill at SDHEngSoft has released a new version of DateBar v1.1 for Newton--"a small extension to the Dates application that adds a button bar to the top left corner of the Dates application to allow a one tap access to all of Dates overview forms."
