Kevin Liang has announced the creation of a mailing list devoted to the topic of "PDAs in Health Care.".

PhatWare has announced the availability of HPC Translate 1.1 (US$14.95, translate single words from one language to another), and German and French dictionaries for HPC Translate 1.1 (US$8.95 each, and each dictionary contains approximately 32,000 words).

SanDisk Corporation has announced that they will be supplying both Lucent Technologies and e.Digital Corporation with SanDisk 32MB CompactFlash (CF) Cards for their new secure EPAC (Enhanced Perceptual Audio Coding) Internet music player.

Psion has teamed with Enfour to offer a Japanese language support (Katakana, Hiragana, and Kanji) to Psion 5 and Series 3mx devices sold in Japan. The software should be available in June 1999, and it should also work with future EPOC savvy devices from "SORTING OUT EMBEDDED WINDOWS--Both Windows CE and NT Embedded will wirelessly link devices" and "HANDHELDS READY FOR BIG BUSINESS--From factory floors to trading floors, corporations are banking on wireless PDAs".

Mark/Space News #17 is reporting that Online 1.1 (PalmOS) is now shipping--a VT100 terminal emulation tool--and that they have announced new pricing for their PageNOW! for Palm OS and Newton.
