Reuters, The Daily Telegraph, and Wireless Today are publishing financial reports on Psion that note a 14% sales drop for the first four months of 1999 vs. the first four months of 1998. This reduction is "blamed" on the news that new wireless savvy Psion EPOC devices are expected this Summer 1999 and potential customers are holding out for these new devices.

PC World has an interesting article entitled "ELECTRONIC BOOKS FOR ALL?" that examines a new "standard" for eBooks being offered by Glassbook.

Aportis has reportedly released a "beta" of their next generation outliner called "BrainForest" for Windows. The Macintosh version has been shipping for some time and can be purchased at store.aportis.com. This "desktop" to Palm OS synchronization has been created by the development team of Scott Searle and Mike Staley of DirectTeq.

My Docs has announced a new freeware service that could be ideal for Windows CE based machines--"the ability to securely upload and store a user's files (up to 20MB) on the Internet, and then access it from anywhere in the world."

Eastman Kodak has announced that they will be shipping 64MB CompactFlash (CF) cards from SanDisk with their new "Kodak Professional 265 Interactive Imaging System (aka the "DC265," 1.6 megapixel, US$1500)."

Holger Mueller notes that Softwarebuero Mueller has released SBM Utilities v1.4.2 for the Newton (US$39, English/German) that includes updates to the following "core" modules: Programs, Backup, and Restore.
