Enfour has announced as of 14Mar99 that Psion Computers has chosen Enfour to be Psion's "authorized distributor" (sales, marketing, and distribution) of the Psion Series 5 palmtop computers in Japan. Enfour will be selling the Series 5 throughout their stores in Japan and hopes to grow Japanese sales for Psion devices by 20% over last year's sales.
ZDNET's Anchordesk has a "Special Report" entitled "TWO NEW PALMS: WHAT'S ALL THE FUSS ABOUT?" that examines the new Palm devices from 3Com (Palm IIIx and Palm V). Other technology magazines like ComputerWorld, INTERNETWEEK, PC Magazine, and Network World have recently published similar articles over the past week.
Symbian is reporting that Ericsson has announced the first EPOC based device called the "mobile companion MC218" (shipping in mid-1999) that is being OEM-manufactured by Psion Computers. This new device will offer GSM savvy wireless access (from an IrDA modem to an Ericsson IrDA savvy mobile phone) with support for the Ericsson Mobile Internet initiative (email, fax, SMS, Internet, and WAP functionality).

Synchrologic have announced a new "industry analyst" summary report entitled "Managing Distributed Database Applications Resource Book" that highlights the functionality and capabilities of their new Mobile Data Synchronization Server technology that will integrate with: IBM DB2 Universal Database, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase Adaptive Server Anywhere, Microsoft Access, and Informix.
