Macworld is publishing a Palm OS savvy "Macworld Expo" guide package for attendees of this year's New York City 1999 Macworld Expo being held 21-23Jul99. On the home page linked to above, you'll find a link called "Jobs unveils iBook," detailing the new iMac portable computer.

Riverbed Technologies via their ScoutArchitect product, and Computer Associates (CA) via their CA Unicenter solution have announced a "joint effort to develop and partner to market" a collection of mobile enterprise management solutions for a wide range of devices in the near future. In related news, 3Com is working with CA and PageNet to insure "enterprise management" solutions are possible for Palm OS devices, especially current and future wireless devices. Synchrologic has announced "iMobile Suite" -- a single-source solution to manage file distribution, data synchronization, and software distribution for enterprise's mobile workforces. iMobile Suite works with Palm OS and Microsoft Windows CE handhelds, as well as PC laptops. Ruksun Software Technologies has announced another version of their terminal emulation application for Windows CE called Term Force v1.0hp for the Handheld PC (HPC) and Handheld PC Pro (HPCP). This new version supports serial port, modem, and IrDA interfaces using X-modem protocols for TTY and VT100 emulation. A 30-day evaluation copy is available on their site.

CompactFlash card users should be warned that "word-on-the-street" is that the recently released "LEXAR Media USA Enable CompactFlash" reader that offers an IDE/ATA interface will more than likely not work with non-Lexar CompactFlash cards, and may even have problems with some Lexar CompactFlash cards.
