Information Week Online is reporting that 3Com's Palm Computing's president Robin Abrams has resigned and that Alan Kessler, "a 13-year 3Com veteran who most recently served as senior VP of 3Com's Global Customer Service unit," is now the president of Palm Computing. In related news, Dataquest reports that Palm OS devices accounted for 56% of all handheld channel sales in Q1'99, and that Palm Computing generated 10% of 3Com's 1998-99 fiscal year revenue which was US$5.8 billion.

Hewlett-Packard has announced a suggested retail price cut on their Jornada 420 Windows CE Palm-size PC (PPC) from US$519 to US$449. [SOURCE: AFX]
