Symbol Technologies has been awarded a five-year US$248 million contract to supply mobile computing, wireless networking, and scanning systems to the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD). From this contract, the following items will be available for purchase: Windows CE & DOS based handheld devices, bar-code scanners & readers, Spectrum24 wireless infrastructure equipment, memory cards, and printers.
