TipWorld's New Product Gossip of the Day published on 04Jan99 notes that DataViz has announced "Documents To Go" for Palm organizers that will support both Macs and PCs. The new product will ship in Q1'1999 and will help download Word, ClarisWorks, and Excel files into PalmPilot devices for viewing.

Motorola has announced purchasing Lucent Technologies' Wireless Phone Research Unit that includes over 500 employees.
