SanDisk has recently announced:

• A new marketing focus to bring San Disk storage media to MP3 portable music players like the new device from Pontis due in Feb99
• Vivitar's new ViviCam 2750 (digital camera) will use SanDisk's CompactFlash (CF) memory card standard
• EquiTrac will be using SanDisk's FlashDrive (40MB in a 2.5-inch form factor) in their new terminal called "Alpha"
• Canada's Battery Plus has announced plans to sell SanDisk CompactFlash (CF) memory cards and the ImageMate external CF drive (parallel port and USB versions) for PCs and Macs in their 74 stores across Canada.

Aportis Technologies has released BrainForest Professional 1.0 (US$40) for Macintosh and Palm Computing platform devices. BrainForest is "a comprehensive action item organizer, idea tracker, project planner, and checklist manager."

Pericom Software has released a "pocket terminal emulation program" for Windows CE called "Teemtalk" (US$79) that will allow users to connect to Digital (DEC), Unix, IBM, and other legacy mainframe systems.

SAVE has announced the released of a Newton book version of their popular "Reflections from Vinegar Hill". The Newton book version lacks the full-color photographs of the printed version but, unlike the printed version, the Newton book version is free for download through the SAVE website.
