Orang-Otang Computers has announced a new agreement with PDA, Inc. that lets PDA, Inc. sell and license Orang-Otang's international patents and patent-pending products including their "Peel-It wearable PDA case" for 3Com PalmPilot, Philips Nino, and Symbol SPT-1500 devices.

The Communication News published for Jan99 has an interesting article entitled "PDAs solve the crime: Real-time mobile data connectivity in police patrol cars helps city dollars go further" written by Michael Keenan. The system profiled is based in Largo, Florida, and uses GTE's Wireless Network for CDPD connectivity and Apple eMate 300s running Web browsers and chat for hardware/software.

American Mobile Satellite has announced SKYTOUCH Credit Card Satellite Payphones--the only certified public payphone products for use with American Mobile's SKYCELL Satellite Telephone Service.

You can learn more about a new Windows CE specific online magazine called "HPC Magazine". The site is dedicated to traditional Windows CE HPCs, and the new HPC Pros, Palm-size PCs, and Auto PCs with links to online articles and software downloads.

Columbia TriStar Interactive has announced their first two "mobile channels" for PalmPilot and Windows CE users--"Sony Pictures SPE! Scoop" found at the URL listed above, and one dedicated to their new science fiction movie "The Thirteenth Floor".

Jean-Louis Villecroze has announced a new searchable online database that will store Newton related profiles for people who own Newton devices. The site is called "Newton Users Gallery" and you can get access to it via newtongallery.virtualave.net.
