Sierra Imaging has announced a Palm-size PC version of their Windows CE savvy "Image Expert CE" that will work ideally with the recently announced color Palm-size PC specification from Microsoft. Current Windows CE 2.x users can check out "Image Expert CE 1.0" which is available via direct electronic download for US$50.

3Com's Palm Pilot and Research In Motion's RIM Inter@ctive Pager 950 users in the United States can now access wireless trading services via w-Trade Wireless Internet Trading System. [SOURCE: Business Wire]

AvantGo has recently announced two new content services now available for handheld devices--one with InfoSpace.com, and another with CNNfn Interactive. Symbol Technologies has also announced plans to bundle "AvantGo Client" on their future PalmPilot and Windows CE devices, and they will "resell" AvantGo Server as a part of their mobile system engineering consulting services.

Strata Systems has updated their "project tracking" solution called "Punch List v2.0 for PalmPilot" that will data sync with Primavera Systems' enterprise project management solutions. The software should be shipping by early Q2'99.

Noblestar Systems Corporation has announced the creation of a "spin-off" company called Riverbed Technologies that will continue to develop and sell "Scout-specialized middleware and connectivity software aimed at the mobile computing market."
