Hot on the news from Microsoft about their new "color savvy" version of Windows CE for palm-size PC devices, ZDNET's AnchorDesk ran with this "Berst Alert" yesterday: "BEGINNING OF THE END FOR PALMPILOT? NEW WIN CE COULD BE TURNING POINT". These new color Palm-size PCs are not, however, expected to ship until sometime in Q2'99. The major manufacturers who have already signed up to build devices to this new specification include Auctor, Compaq Computer, Hewlett-Packard (HP), Trogon, Casio Computer, Everex Systems, Philips Electronics North America, and Uniden.

This reference source provides an international traveler with "important business and financial data, sporting events, election dates, public holidays, religious festivals, cultural events, and even wine vintages."
