The PMN News Service is reporting that Finland's Benefon has "licensed Microsoft's Mobile Explorer platform for use in their future mobile communications products." Benefon's first product using this technology is expected to be released in "February 2000 at the GSM World Congress in Cannes, France."

DiddleBug 2.12-- a digital ink application for Palm OS devices-- has been released. "Scribbled" notes can be linked to alarms, and to other built-in applications.

Novatel Wireless is offering their discontinued Windows CE v2.0 savvy CONTACT devices with built-in wireless capabilities for US$269 until their inventory is depleted or 31Dec99 (whichever comes first). For more info call: 888-888-9231.

RadioLAN is a wireless Ethernet manufacturer fully compatible with the IEEE 802.3 and 802.11b standards, and operating at 5.8-Ghz and offering a 10-Mbps (7.7-Mbps throughput) solution. RadioLAN is reportedly offering a "two-year no interference guarantee" from devices in 2.4-GHz band Bluetooth, and 802.11a LANs operating in the 2.4-Ghz range.

The InSync Online Team notes in recent emails the availability of two potentially interesting Palm OS device packages-- #1.) "BikeBrain" (cyclist route and training utility--See our review in the December issue); and #2.) "WineScore" (a California wine database application).
