NEW NETWORK APPLIANCES -- Virgin Entertainment and Internet Appliance Network have announced a new joint network appliance. Plus, Netpliance has a "one-button browsing" i-opener device www.netpliance.net. Foliage Software Systems has announced a "secure e-commerce" solution for Windows CE savvy Palm-size PCs called "iBrowserPlus" that supports IR ports, modems, or Ethernet connections.

Puma Technology (handheld developer and solutions provider) has announced plans to purchase NetMind Technologies (Internet infrastructure software for personalization). Puma has also announced plans to team with Sterling Commerce to offer compatible enterprise level remote systems management solutions via www.manageremote.com.

Xybernaut's Mobile Assistant IV wearable PC can be configured to run Windows 98, Windows NT, Linux, or other Unix flavors. It comes standard with a 233-MHz Pentium MMX, 160-MBS of SDRAM, and an 8-GB hard drive.

Bonita Software and damango have agreed to offer a wide range of mobile Application Service Provider (ASP) solutions that are ideal for small and medium sized businesses.

AvantGo.com has announced a new "upgrade" to their freeware interactive news and information services avantgo.com/setup/upgrade. New stuff includes: performance improvements, cross-platform support, integration into wireless access, and over 100 new channels.
