PocketScience's PocketMail is reportedly planning on a to Palm OS savvy clip-on device for mobile email access called "BackFlip". Sources close to the project say "widespread testing" is underway, and beta testers are reporting much success.

Network Magazine has a December 1999 article of potential interest entitled "Small Device Remote Access: Handheld devices can boost productivity by letting employees work just about anywhere."

RGPS has announced a new "application launcher" utility package for the Palm OS entitled "Power Launch." RGPS also publishes the following Palm OS packages: AutoSync, MindMeld, PalmVHack, PilotEyes, PokerLogic, and StayOffHack.

San Disk has announced that Amazon.com's new Electronic Store will be selling San Disk's complete line of storage offerings (CompactFlash, MultiMediaCard, SmartMedia, & ImageMate) for a wide range of consumer electronics devices (handhelds, smartphones, digital cameras, portable music players, etc.).

TRG Products has announced the availability of "enterprise deployment" software for standardizing software configurations on Palm OS devices called "ImagePro Deployment Manager."

Cindi Maciolek would like Pen Computing readers to know about a new "open source independent service discovery protocol" project being developed by the Salutation Consortium for Windows CE and Palm OS based devices.
