Chapura has announced a new "free upgrade" for current Palm OS PocketMirror users to "PocketMirror v2.0 for Outlook synchronization software." The upgrade works with all Palm OS devices, and detailed upgrade instructions are available. [SOURCE: InSync Online]

ZDNET's PC Computing is reporting in an article by John Dvorak entitled "Handheld Hell" that Philips has "quietly" announced the "demise" of their PIC processor that is used in their Velo and Nino Windows CE units. No word on where Philips plans to go in the future.

3Com has announced two new strategic alliances to further their Palm OS capabilities in the arena of wireless database access. The first is with the wireless data integration services company called "Aether Technologies". And the second is with the mobile enterprise database savvy "Sybase".
