PR Newswire is reporting that Casio has plans to release a successor to their Cassiopeia E-10 very soon called the E-11. This palm-size PC will run Windows CE, have 8MB internal storage, include a host of bundled software, and have a suggested retail price of US$399.

The MetroBook SLT is an "advanced" mini notebook with a 200MHz Pentium MMX processor, an 8.4-inch active matrix touchscreen display, a weight of only 2.9 pounds, and a width of only 9.8 inches. The SLT comes bundled with Windows 98 and a starting price of around US$1900.

Many of the new Windows CE v2.0 (and possibly v2.1) palm-size PCs are using NEC's VR4111 RISC processor--a "little work horse."

Surplus Direct is selling "FACTORY REFURBISHED" Philips VELO-1 Windows CE 1.0 handheld PCs with a docking station for US$139.88 (Part#PO129109).

Motorola's Internet and Connectivity Services Division has announced a new "VoxML Voice Markup Language--a powerful new technology that extends the reach of the Internet and intranets by enabling access to online content from any telephone."

MAR Software has announced a limited supply of their neoprene bag cases for the Newton called the "newtSuit" for the MessagePad 2x00 line of devices, but the case will work with older MessagePads 100/110/20/130. Price is under US$35 and can be ordered direct by voice at 510-337-0231.
