The International Symposium on Wearable Computers is publicly showcasing a new "wearable" computer being developed by Symbol Technologies. This new device is reportedly being tested by UPS in limited trials. Other companies like Federal Express, Office Depot, and Wal-Mart have also announced in recent weeks future plans to use wearable computers. [SOURCE: Reuters via Wired]

Seahorse Software is proud to announce Euchre 2.0 for Palm Pilot devices. This new update adds lot of new functionality to this popular card game. The playing strategies by the computer players have been significantly improved to make playing much more challenging.

Hewlett-Packard has have announced a new Windows CE Professional product line called the "Jornada" with the first device ("820") shipping in Nov98 for just under US$1000. Some key features according to HP are the new touch-type keyboard and the ten-hour battery life. In related news, SanDisk has announced that HP has agreed to offer 4MB and 10MB SanDisk CompactFlash cards as accessories to the new HP Jornada 820 Handheld PC.

Ericsson is finally showing off their Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) Gateway and WAP Service Developers' Kit for cellular service and content providers. WAP makes it possible to directly interface TCP/IP communications with cellphone operating systems.
