Jesse Berst's AnchorDesk has an interesting "future looking" article entitled "FIVE AMAZING INVENTIONS STILL IN THE LABS." The article includes handheld devices within Jesse's list of five amazing inventions that are now emerging from US R&D labs.

Novatel Wireless is now shipping their "CONTACT Wireless Handheld Computer (HPC)" that comes with an integrated 19.2 Kbps CDPD modem and a 14.4 Kbps RJ11 data/fax landline modem. Uniden is reportedly running a new print ad for their new palm-size PC called the "UniPro PC100" (Windows CE based) using the banner "IS A PILOT WITHOUT WINDOWS REALLY A GOOD IDEA?"

ZDNET has started a PalmPilot Shareware Library that includes hundreds of programs, utilities, and games that have been "rated and reviewed."
