Concept Kitchen--"creators of accessories, software solutions, and information services for handheld computing"--has announced the "equity capital financing" of US$1.5 million from Kettle Partners and Perfect World Technologies of Chicago, Illinois. Concept Kitchen also publishes a Web site devoted to PDA owners and prospective buyers called PDA Dash.

The PC Week published for 09Nov98 has news about "Citrix Systems new link between Windows CE devices and their MetaFrame Server," and details about "Microsoft and Qualcomm's new joint wireless communication venture."

The Web-based Personal Information Manager (PIM) solution available at eOrganizer has announced two new important features: flexible printing and comma/tab delimited data export.

SanDisk is widely distributing a new IDC market study that notes that SanDisk was the 1997 worldwide market-share leader (45%) in 1997 for CompactFlash (CF) memory cards. The CF market accounted for 59% of the total flash card market in 1997, and IDC is predicting CF marketshare to grow to 79% over the next four years.

Casio is now offering "two new Bonus Packs" for Cassiopeia E-10 owners: a US$49.95 Bonus Pack (10MB Flash Card, AC Adapter, and CDROM), or a US$39.95 Bonus Pack (10MB Flash Card and CDROM). The CDROM contains the following new Windows CE software packages: "Randsoft Harmony '98, Zio Interactive Entertainment Palm Golf, CASIO Image Viewer, and CASIO Menu."

Michael Pohl has released v1.0 of Geek Safe for the Newton--a "package to securely track passwords, serial numbers, and account numbers." This version also supports older MP120s and MP130s. You can check out screenshots and download demos via www.newtopia.com.
