Aether Technologies have announced a US$6 million investment in their company by 3Com. Aether Technologies builds "comprehensive wireless data solutions" and will reportedly use the investment capital to "expand their existing enterprise wireless data technology and services." Industry analysts are predicting that this investment will be crucial to 3Com's launch of their just recently announced wireless Palm IV device that is expected by Q2'99. Nikkei English News is reporting that Fujitsu has announced plans to begin shipping Windows CE "portable terminals" in Japan by the Spring of 1999.

Shana has announced Informed Expense Creator v1.0 for the PalmPilot that will sync electronic forms and data with Windows and Mac OS computers. This version will support over 20 different form designs in three styles and also offer many types of default summary reports.

Actioneer has announced plans to bring Lotus Notes users closer to their PalmPilot devices with a new version of "Actioneer enhanced for Lotus Notes" that will let data transparently migrate between PalmPilot devices and Lotus Notes systems.
