Yahoo and Starfish Software have announced the availability of a beta version of TrueSync Plus for Yahoo! (freeware) that will synchronize Yahoo! Calendar, Yahoo! To Do List, and Yahoo! Address Book with Microsoft Outlook for Windows and 3Com PalmPilot devices.

ZDNET's Anchordesk is running two potentially interesting articles: #1. "SMART SHOPPING GUIDES: AVOID THE HANDHELD HYPE" (sometimes handhelds are logical gifts but not for all people), and #2: "HOW YOUR PALMPILOT CAN SAVE YOU MONEY" (examines calculator options, tipping tools).

DataRover has announced "new reseller and marketing" agreements with En Pointe Technologies, Dauphin Technology, Netstrategy, and Sands Management Systems. These new partners will work to integrate DataRover devices into their sales channels as mobile computing device solutions for high-tech industry, government, healthcare, and transportation markets.

CIC is running a US$40 special bundle for the next 30 days that includes Jot for the PalmPilot (natural handwriting recognition, full screen mode, foreign language support, and only uses 120K of storage) and QuickNotes for the PalmPilot (ink notes and drawings, automatic time/date stamping, and advanced navigation and editing capabilities).

Intermec Technologies has announced a new wireless network bridge called the Norand 6710 Mobile Bridge that will link mobile Norand RS-485 mobile computers to land based Ethernet networks.
